Design Brief

Even though SD (San Diego, CA.) is the Capital of Craft, there are other areas throughout the entire state that are independent brewers. Coastal breweries, specifically in California, are not afraid to take risks with packaging design and type. It also correlates with the beachy, surf, gliding, and skate/longboarding lifestyle. I wanted to embody and capture that on a can. One of the designs is dedicated to the state flower, which may be percieve too feminine of a design on a can of beer, but its quite common within the state. The approach to these designs is to make them stand out and grab immediate attention as well as the immaculate tasting beer within the can. Zombie Hops Elixir works with other small businesses within the state creating collaborative bold flavors.
