About

Artist Statement

As a multimodal artist, I have a keen interest and appreciation for clean and simplistic art. I like to keep an open mind. Therefore, my art is open and not prone to one subject or another. The solution to my work is to be silent. The art room is where my hodgepodge of art comes together as communication. Inspired by the world and cultures around me, my art is used to express an interpretation of many barriers, which sets the world on its edges.

That said, culture, is everything from: womanism, feminism, race, gender, sexuality, comics, video games, empathy, parent-child relationships, religion, childhood, and so forth. I like to juxtapose various forms of art together using a wide range of multimodality. I like to combine poetry and photography, but sometimes my photographs are poems. I like hand building and crafting scenes to tell stories. My work breaks down complex issues and forms them into ways the viewer(s) are able to empathize/sympathize/interact with the work.

The constructions of multimodality always play a role in most of my final compositions. My work and subject matter as an artist will always develop over time.

Photography, like Literature, is an excogitating evoking critical thinking work of visual words. Photography has taught me to remain equanimous in majority circumstances-thanks to the practice of Buddhism and its compelling relationship with Photography.

Developing a minimalistic aesthetic to continue building myself as a person and as a brand. l am focusing on building my brand to further nuance, taking my Art to a more profound, but ever growing level of expertise. Like publishing books of poetry, and creating products. More importantly, continue to stay self-driven!
